Write the post once, in every language your site has.

News, guides and stories for your own site, written in an editor with blocks that saves as you type. Publish now or at a time you choose, and every version is kept. Each post joins your sitemap the moment it is live, and once it has more than one language, its versions are paired for search.

Writing

An editor with blocks, and a draft your site never sees.

Type / for a block: headings, lists, quotes, tables, pictures with captions, code, a note or a warning, a video, a button. When Bookings, Shop or Quizzes is on, a post can carry a booking button, a product or a quiz from it, and any post can hold one of your forms. The draft saves as you type, and your site keeps showing the live post until you publish the new one.

Publish now, or schedule it for a day and a time. Every version you publish is kept, and any of them goes back into your draft with one click. A private preview link works for 7 days, and if posts should wait for the owner, an editor sends them for approval instead of publishing.

Being found

Each post joins your sitemap the moment it is live.

With its true dates, and with its versions in each language paired, so a search engine shows each reader their own language. Once your site serves its key file, IndexNow tells Bing and the engines that share it on every publish, and a site we host serves it with no setup. With Search Console connected with write access, Google is sent your sitemap as well.

Every post is checked on your SEO page: a search title that runs long, a description that is missing or the wrong length, a cover with no description, no author, a post under 300 words, two posts with the same title. An English post with no Arabic version yet is a note, not a fault. Change an address and the old one keeps working, sending readers on to the new one.

On your site

Any site can show it, whoever built it.

A site built in code reads your posts from Helm, each with its search tags and structured data ready to use. Any other site pastes one piece of code, once, on the page where the posts should be.

A block for any site

A grid, a list or a magazine, with categories, search and pages. It takes your site's fonts and colours, reads right to left on Arabic pages, and gives each post its own title and description for search.

Posts for members

Open to anyone, to signed-in customers, or to people holding a membership you choose, with the start of the post as a teaser. Members' articles is a membership of its own, sold in Offerings or given by hand.

Comments you approve

Off until you switch them on. Nothing shows before you approve it, guests confirm their email first, and you reply as your business. Mark a regular as trusted and theirs go up straight away.

Around the writing

What a blog needs, in the place you write it.

Categories, tags and series

Readers follow a topic or a numbered series to the next post. Authors have a photo, credentials and a bio in each language, and a reviewer is shown with the date they last checked the post.

Bring your old blog

Import Markdown files, a WordPress or Ghost export, any RSS or Atom feed, or the posts on your current site. Dates, authors, categories and addresses come with them, as drafts first. Your old site is only read, never changed.

AI help

Translate a post into your other language, get three suggestions for its summary and search text, describe a picture, or pick its category and tags. It never publishes. 40 a month on Standard and 150 on Business, where a translation counts as 3.

Stats for each post

Views, how far down people read and where they came from, from the same visitor counter as Analytics. With Search Console connected, what they searched to find it.

A share kit

After you publish: the link, a caption, and the cover cut for a feed post and a story. Nothing is posted for you.

A feed for readers

An RSS feed in each language, for reading apps and for anyone who follows your news that way.

How you get it

On your plan, switched on by you.

Blog is one of the tools Standard lets you pick, and Business has it with every other tool. You switch it on in Settings → Your tools. If Helm or a partner built your site, the first time is a request to our team.

Before you start

What this does not do, said now rather than later.

It does not post for you

The share kit gives you the link, the caption and the pictures. Putting them on Instagram, or anywhere else, is yours to do.

AI help never publishes

Every suggestion is shown to you first and is saved only when you choose it. A translation stays marked as needing a read until someone has read it.

No code inside a post

A post is made of the editor's blocks. Pasted HTML or a script shows as plain text, so nothing in a post can break your site. Your site's own interactive pieces are added for you, as blocks.
