Module · SEO

Two lines decide whether they click.
You should be the one writing them.

The title and the description under it are the entire search result. This is where you set them per page, tell Google what kind of business you are, and connect Search Console so the measuring sits next to the editing.

Included on Standard and Business. $20 a month on Lite.

What you actually set

The words

Set once for the site, then overridden where it matters.

A template for the whole site, defaults behind it, and an override on any page that deserves its own words. So a service page you wrote in a hurry still has a title rather than inheriting a heading the site guessed at.

The module flags the pages that have never had a description, which is the part people never get round to doing by hand.

Telling Google what you are

A restaurant is not a paragraph. It is a type.

Structured data is how a search engine learns you are a restaurant in Achrafieh with these hours and this price range, rather than a page containing those words.

Five of the seven types offered

Seven types, with the right fields each

Restaurant, store, local business, professional service, school, educational organisation and organisation. Pick one and you are asked for the fields that type actually has — cuisine for a restaurant, area served for a service.

It is a form, not a JSON editor

You fill in the opening hours. The page emits the markup. Nobody is hand-writing structured data in a text box and hoping it validates.

This is one of the nine audit checks

Schema is worth two of the twenty SEO-health points in the audit module, so turning it on moves a number you can see.

Search Console, connected

The number and the fix on the same screen.

Connect Google Search Console once and the performance data comes into the dashboard: which queries reached you, which pages they landed on, and where you ranked when they did.

The point is not the chart. It is that the place you read the number and the place you fix the title are the same screen, so the loop closes without exporting anything.

The two switches worth knowing

One tells search engines you exist. The other tells them not to.

Both are one control, and one of them can take you out of Google entirely.

Global noindex — hide the whole siteOFF

Example — the last one is the dangerous switch

Ping the sitemap

Tell search engines the sitemap has changed rather than waiting to be crawled. Useful the day you publish something you actually want found.

Global noindex

One switch that asks every search engine to drop the whole site. Correct while you are building; catastrophic if it is left on. It is deliberately a single obvious control rather than a per-page setting you could lose track of.

Simple or advanced

The module has two modes. Simple keeps it to the words that matter; advanced exposes the schema editor and the Search Console panel. A client who wants titles is not made to look at the rest.

How you get it

On your plan, or add it

Included on the plans below, and purchasable on its own if your plan does not carry it.

Included on Standard and Business at no extra cost. On Lite it is $20 a month, or $200 a year. Connecting Search Console needs a Google account with access to the property.

Before you start

What this does not do, said now rather than later.

It cannot make you rank

It removes the reasons not to. Ranking is decided by demand, competition and who links to you, and no settings screen changes any of those.

No keyword research

There is no search-volume tool here. Bring the terms you want to target; this is where you act on them, not where you find them.

It will not write the titles for you

No generated copy. The two lines that decide a click are worth ten minutes of your own attention, and a machine writing them is how every result on a page ends up sounding the same.

Getting started

It is one switch, and the titles are yours that afternoon.
